Want to get festive in your classroom while also being inclusive? These winter math activities are for you! I understand that not all my students celebrate Christmas so my activities are mostly snow related (with the exception of the Christmas wrapping paper featured in the similar figures activity).
Students will practice solving eight two-step equations in one variable and match them with their answers while building a snowman! Your students will love getting creative with the printable or digital version of the activity.
This one is very similar to the first activity, except the examples are multiplication instead of division.
Students will practice finding missing side lengths for twelve pairs of similar figures.
In addition to similar figures, they will also have some indirect measurement examples!
Students will practice simplifying nine expressions using the Order of Operations and determine the first step of another nine expressions. There are a total of 18 problems included.
Students will practice finding the surface area of twelve 3D figures including rectangular prisms and cylinders. The best part? The rectangular prisms are gift-wrapped in wrapping paper! One of my favorite hands-on ways to help students understand the concept of surface area.
With the template, you can add any content for any grade level!
