5 Valentine’s Day Math Worksheets and Ideas for Middle School

Celebrate love and learning this Valentine’s Day with some easy and fun activities and math worksheets designed for middle schoolers. 

1. Decorate your classroom

I use a daily agenda slide covered in hearts and I grabbed decorations from Dollar Tree and the Target Dollar Section years ago. I just reuse them each year!

2. Play a Valentine’s Day Classroom Playlist

3. Just add hearts and copy on pink and red paper!

I mean it, just add hearts to your worksheets and make your copies on pink or red paper if available!

4. Use Valentine’s Day Math Worksheets

5. Use a Valentine’s Day Timer

BONUS: Speed Dating!

• Start with desks facing each other.
• Give each student a task card. The task card should have a question on one side and the answer on the opposite side.

• Give students time to take turns holding their problem up for their partner/date to solve on either a whiteboard or a piece of paper.

• You may wish to set a timer (like one of the ones above *wink*)

• When they are finished, they should check their answer with their partner.

• Either ring a bell or shout “switch”!

• Only students in the outer circle move clockwise to the next seat.

• Repeat steps!
