Description
These PRINT & GO coordinate plane guided notes are a great way to introduce your 6th grade students to key coordinate plane terms, identifying and graphing ordered pairs and finding the distance between points.
This student-approved resource will save you time and help you teach this skill with confidence. When you are done, students will have a reference sheet to use all year long!
Standards Covered:
VA SOL | 6.MG.3
CCSS | 6.NS.6 & 6.NS.8
TEKS | 6.11
Topics Included:
- 4.1 I can identify and label the axes, origin, and quadrants of a coordinate plane.
- 4.2 I can identify and describe the location of a point given as an ordered pair.
- 4.3 I can graph ordered pairs in the four quadrants and on the axes of a coordinate plane. Ordered pairs will be limited to coordinates expressed as integers.
- 4.4 I can identify ordered pairs represented by points in the four quadrants and on the axes of the coordinate plane.
- 4.5 I can relate the coordinates of a point to the distance from each axis and relate the coordinates of a single point to another point on the same horizontal or vertical line.
This resource includes:
- 4 Scaffolded Guided Notes Pages
*Space for Page Numbers
*Learning Target at the top of each page
- 3 Practice Pages with a total of 24 Practice Problems
- Teaching Slides accessible in Google Slides
