Nothing brings me greater joy than the sight of classroom supplies! Even when I come across something I don’t necessarily need, I can’t resist the urge to have it. After all, can one ever truly have enough supplies? It takes me back to the days when I eagerly awaited my classroom supply list during back-to-school shopping as a child. And now, as a teacher, I have the privilege of fully indulging in my love for teacher supplies.

As the beginning of the year rapidly approaches, it’s time to prepare for a fresh start. This is one of my favorite aspects of teaching—the opportunity to begin anew. A new year means new school supplies, and I can’t contain my excitement! In this post, I’ve curated a list of the top 37 classroom must-haves available on Amazon.

2. Dry Erase Pockets – These handy pockets allow you to reuse worksheets and save paper. Simply slide a worksheet inside the pocket, and students can write on it with dry-erase markers. It’s a cost-effective and eco-friendly solution. I love them!!

3. Chart Paper – Large chart paper is perfect for brainstorming, recording ideas, and displaying anchor charts. It provides a visual aid that helps students grasp and remember key concepts. My favorite type is sticky!! That way you can stick them around the room.

     4. Remote for Lights – Take control of your classroom’s lighting with a remote control. It allows you to turn on all classroom lamps, lights, and led lights with just a few clicks. Last year, I had to beg my students to go around and turn them all on and off! This makes life so much easier, I even bought a set to use at home.

 

 

5. Personal Laminator – Don’t wait in line at your school’s laminator, this personal laminator will hands down be one of your favorite investments. I laminate just about everything. Don’t forget to grab laminating sleeves!!

 

 

6. Clicker or 7. Wireless Keyboard with built-in mouse – Simplify your presentations and lectures with a clicker or wireless keyboard. You can easily navigate slides, interact with digital resources, and keep your students engaged while walking around the classroom!

 

8. Document Camera – This compact document camera is affordable and so easy to connect, no software is needed. You just need to open the camera on your laptop!

12. Mini Manual Pencil Sharpener – I have a drawer full of these, so students can quickly and quietly sharpen their pencils. Keep a few mini-sharpeners in your classroom for quick and convenient pencil sharpening. They’re portable and handy for students who need to sharpen their pencils during lessons.

18. Flair Pens and 19. Inkjoy Pens – Make your grading and note-taking a pleasure with smooth and colorful pens. I love using them for my planner!!

20. Expo Markers – These are a no-brainer must-have for any classroom. I prefer getting all black so students don’t fight over the colors.

21. Zip Pouches – Stay organized with zip pouches. Use them to store and organize your physical classroom activities! They are super sturdy! I put them in the scrapbook cases as you see below!

 

22. Scrapbook Cases – Keep your unit materials and manipulatives neatly organized in scrapbook cases. They are perfect for storing small items and I also place the zip pouches mentioned above inside.

 

23. 0.5 Inch Binder – I use these to store answer keys for each unit, I love that they don’t take up too much space!
